DeLonghi Stiromeglio Compact PRO 300 Ironing System with Pressurized Boiler
From Delonghi

The professional-quality ironing system with pressurized boiler gives you fresh, perfectly ironed garments every time. The very high volume of dry, powerful steam makes ironing quicker and more effective leaving dampness. It features the first double-material boiler made of a stainless-steel upper and super-alloy bottom that allows tap water to be used without the risk of valve occlusion. The molded tank allows for the heating element to be imbedded in the bottom rather than attached to the outside, creating a much better thermal capacity of the boiler for longer, more consistant ironing temperatures. The iron has a fully adjustable thermostat and steam flow to allow for perfect ironing on any type of fabric, and it can also be set for continous steam for vertical steaming of curtains, coats, etc. The professional cork handle provides hours of fatigue-free ironing, and the steam tube can be attached to either side of the boiler to accomodate either left- or right-handed people. All this and more in a beautiful professional ironing system that is backed by a three-year guarantee.

Steam away creases in a badly crumpled shirt with the Compact Pro 300 Ironing System from Italian home appliance giant DeLonghi. The iron improves upon previous steam irons with its enhanced pressurized boiler, constructed to convert even harsh tap water into steam. With an adjustable thermostat and varying steam levels, the professional ironing system accommodates a wide variety of fabrics, ranging from delicate silks to cotton and linen. The well-designed iron handle adapts for left- and right-handed users alike. The steam iron features a heavy-duty aluminum soleplate with a polished satin finish for snag-free, smooth ironing with even heat distribution. DeLonghi crafted the boiler in two materials to extend its steam conversion capacities, using stainless-steel construction in the upper portion and a super-alloy bottom. For greater thermal heat, the boiler tank is molded to enable the heating to rest within the bottom. The tank holds up to 1 liter of water for 2 hours of steam ironing. Users grip the ergonomically friendly cork handle to operate the iron. The ironing system also adjusts to steam vertically for curtains and hanging items. As with all electrical appliances, read the enclosed warnings and user guidelines for the steam iron before use. This item is covered by a limited three-year warranty and weighs 13 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling
A Different Beast! Apparently, I am one of the few remaining individuals who feel the need for freshly ironed clothing. I've always used steam irons, Rowenta most recently, with consistently disappointing results. Over the years, I've increased my use of spray starch to make up for the power I've believed should have originated in the iron. But no more! After deciding I wasn't ready for a presser or a mangle for my clothing, and knowing I really didn't need to press that many tablecloths, I discovered a new genre: steam generating irons. And, after some significant research, I ordered this DeLonghi model. It is truly a different beast than anything I've ever used! What steam production!!! The temperature of the iron sole plate is controlled independently from the quantity of steam desired. Tap water is actually recommended for use. The iron, while substantial in heft, is not heavy. And the old-fashioned looking cork handle is soft, smooth and cool to the touch. But the bottom line is the job it does on my clothing and linen! While the ads say that this machine will cut your ironing time in half, I cannot say this is true.....mainly because I find myself taking the time to marvel over how each pass with the iron produces such a professional-looking surface! Really, the only thing that's been halved is my use of spray starch, which is an unforseen and welcome benefit! Am I happy with my new "beast?" You bet! Would I buy another? No way....I suspect this well-designed machine is going to last me a long, long time. But can I recommend one for you? Without reservation! Stiromeglio Delonghi Ironing System We just got this product and we love it! The iron generates really powerful steam that reduces time by half. The iron per se is really light, which helps as well. We used to spend no more than $50 for an iron that we would throw away after 1-2 years of frustration: heavy, not powerful (always check wattage before buying an iron!) and losing ability to deliver heat over time. Bottom line: if you like saving time and making ironing a less painful activity, definitively go for this product. Bought it at Amazon for $150 (using Kitchen & Housewares $25 coupon) minus discount from amazon visa. It comes with 3-year warranty. A must. Great Iron, can't get better for home/small business use. I really like this, semi-industrial model. I use to work with the industrial irons before and this one has almost as much steam as the professional one. So, if you cannot afford to buy another larger boiler to stay in your house, this model would be just perfect!
