Callaway 2006 Big Bertha Iron Set (4 thru PW, SW)
From Callaway

These are geared for players seeking a solid, game-improvement iron that combines forgiveness, performance and styling. Like other Callaway irons, these feature the proven S2H2, Tru-Bore and VFT (Variable Face Thickness) technologies, as well as a constant-width sole. Extreme Notch Weighting allows mass to be moved to the clubhead perimeter -- mainly to the heel and toe -- for more forgiveness and distance on off-center hits. The deeper 360-degree undercut channel further maximizes the benefits of perimeter weighting by enhancing the clubhead's stability and resistance to twisting. These come in men's and women's models, with choice of Royal Precision MicroTaper 110-gram steel uniflex shafts or Callaway's graphite shafts. They sport a polished-chrome finish with red and black accents.

Great irons for mid and high handicappers5
I wish I was good enough to be using "player's irons", but I'm not. I've tried several sets of irons over the years to improve my game, and these are the first to truly make a difference. I just sold a set of TaylorMade irons that I paid twice as much for, to purchase these. Not that they were bad clubs. They were just not the clubs for me. The Big Berthas have great feel, and they are by far the most forgiving irons I've used. Even mis-hits seem to go straight. I chose the 2006 irons over the 2008 irons because I preferred conventional long irons instead of their new "Ibrids". I recommend these clubs to anyone looking for a game improvement iron.
